Bags were produced by young women before their marriage as an important part of the dowry. The value of a bride is measured and defined by the number of pile-knotted and flat-woven bags that she will bring to the marriage.
If a suitor is not to the father of the bride's liking, the only possible answer is: The bags aren't finished yet!

Nomadic life requires up to forty bags of diverse kinds, mostly in pairs. They indicate the women's wealth and weaving skills providing the practical means of moving possessions during migration by horse, camel or donkey and creating tribal emblems that last for years.
